Shortly after 8:00 am, both Engine 24 and Tanker 24 were dispatched to assist Fairview Township (York County Co 68) as part of a second alarm building assignment.

Crews from Fairview and surrounding companies had arrived to find a HVAC unit on the roof of the Flight Systems building on fire. Due to the location of the unit and fire, additional manpower was requested.

Engine 24 responded with five, and upon arrival, was assigned to stage at the hydrant along Fishing Creek Road. Tanker 24 also responded to the scene and staged with the other tankers that were requested.

After overhaul was completed, the crews from Engine 24 and Tanker 24 assisted in repacking the 5″ supply hose laid by both Engine 68-2 and Engine 2-10. Upon completing these tasks, Engine 24 and Tanker 24 returned to the station.
