Get involved and volunteer for the 2024 Lisburn Community Fire Company Festival!

The Lisburn Community Fire Company is calling for dedicated volunteers to help prepare for and run the 2024 Festival. This event is an excellent opportunity to engage with the community, make new friends, and support a significant local cause. Additionally, students needing volunteer hours can fulfill their requirements while making a difference.

Set-up and clean-up efforts begin August 3 at 9:00 a.m. to ensure everything is ready for the big day. Volunteers are needed to set up tarps, games, tables, chairs, and benches. Assistance is also required to clean various buildings and stands, with coffee and donuts provided to all helpers.

From August 5 to 7, volunteers are needed from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to assist with order check-ins and unloading multiple deliveries. These tasks are crucial in the days leading up to the festival.

During the festival’s daylight hours from August 7 to 10, 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m., help is needed for deliveries, pie-making, food preparation, and general ground maintenance. Volunteers during these hours will receive lunch as a token of appreciation for their efforts.

The festival night hours, running from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. August 7 to 10, require volunteers to help in various stands, including those serving chicken BBQ, sausage, ice cream, and more. Additional help is needed to maintain cleanliness, manage condiment containers, and handle other essential tasks to ensure the festival runs smoothly.

Volunteers will receive meal tickets to enjoy the festival’s homemade foods.
